The need for securely and safely managing visitors is not only important for their wellbeing but also to ensure you are within the guidelines of your insurance policies and also to cover you if you work in a particular industry that has tighter security regulations.

It is important that your reception area is set up correctly so that it is inviting and friendly. ID checks – in certain industries it is important to ensure that those that you let onto your premises are security checked . This includes manufacturing plants, schools and hospitals.

Visitor badges – in order to be able to identify visitors to your business it is a good idea to issue them with a visitors badge. This also means that if the building had to be evacuated for any reason that you know who else is in the building on top of your normal staffing number.
