It involves working in a health care setting, dispensing medications and assisting pharmacies in order to maintain patient care. Since pharmacy technicians are always around, patients can also go directly to them for help with whatever problem they may have such as taking their medication for the first time or if they have a question regarding their medication, among other things. This job can be very stressful but the perks of being a pharmacy technician are that you get to help people and get paid for your services.

How long does it take to become a pharmacist? Most people will attend classes such as chemistry, biology, computer science, medical terminology, pharmacy law, physiology and pharmacology. Once graduated, they will need to pass a written exam, a skills test and then a drug knowledge test before they can legally start working. In most cases, it is also required that pharmacy technicians are registered with a licensing agency.

Pharmacists provide an essential service in tandem with nurses and doctors from GP surgeries and hospitals. For more information on Locum Insurance so you’re never without a pharmacist, visit MPRS
